Visiting Queretaro
The Art Museum, in a former monastery, and the Regional Museum, house magnificent collections. Don't miss El Cerrito, a pre-Hispanic archeological complex more than 1500 years old. On the religious side, admire the baroque churches of St. Augustine (18th century) or San Felipi (completed in the 19th century). Also, stroll through the streets of the center, and towards the Plaza de Armas.
Going out in Queretaro
Take a stroll around the Plaza de la Constitución where restaurants and other nice bars welcome you. Most of the nightlife is in the historic center, where you can try out a traditional cantina, and go from bar to bar as the local youth do to change the style and atmosphere. Some bars also offer live music.
Getting around in Queretaro
The airport is 34 km from Santiago de Queretaro. You can also come by bus, which is popular because there are many connections with the big cities (3 hours to Mexico City), which will allow you to discover beautiful landscapes.
